The Team

The current team of Omega Financial and Management Consultancy NV consist of:

1.Catherine (Cathy) Bronswinkel, Managing Director/Senior Consultant

Cathy was born in 1974 in Curacao, Dutch Caribbean, she spent her childhood in Aruba and moved to Amsterdam, The Netherlands in the early 90's where she graduated summa cum laude in 1997 with a B.S. in Economics. In 1996 Cathy started her career as a banker during a traineeship with the Rabobank Amsterdam (Rated triple A) until she decided to return to Aruba for family reasons. Cathy continued her career in Aruba in the Corporate Department of the RBTT Bank Aruba before starting her own practice of Independent Financial Advisers in late 2006 and took over the portfolio’s of two local companies in 2007 to form Omega Financial & Management Consultancy Ltd.

As well as running the companies Cathy has many corporate and personal clients in the USA, Europe and several islands in the Caribbean. She specializes in wealth creation and protection, investment and finance portfolio design, property investment and tax reduction. Cathy is continually studying to improve her professional qualifications and currently holds several Diploma’s in Financial Services.

Away from the business, Cathy spends a lot of time with her daughters, she loves gardening and children charities are close to her heart.

2. Katinka M. Drupsteen, Manager training

Katinka followed her study in the Netherlands and attended Commercial Economics at the HEAO in Zwolle at Windesheim College. Subsequently she worked for several companies in various industries mainly as commercial assistant and office manager. In addition, she had her own business with which she imported various products from Romania and sold it in the Netherlands. In 2004, Katinka moved with her family to Aruba and worked over 8 years as office manager for a property management organization. In 2012 she made the step towards Omega where she is fully responsible for setting up the new branch of Omega Performance namely trainings for starters, entrepreneurs, financial institutions and insurance companies.

3. Jeanette M. Bronswinkel-Luidens, Director of Insurance

Jeanette started her insurance career in 1973 and after time spent in Curacao working for an international company Travelers Insurances, she moved to Aruba as the company was taken over by Capital Life Insurances. She was then promoted to the position of Manager Sales Insurance. After 37 years of excellent service to one of the largest insurance companies in the region, Sagicor Insurances, she left to co-found Omega together with daughter Cathy in 2007. Having earned the title of Director of Sagicor Life Insurances Aruba for the last 7 years, she is currently Director of Insurances for Omega and assists Cathy as well in wealth management for their clients.

Jeanette lives locally and enjoys her grandchildren and feels that her background and experiences along with her qualifications enables her to maintain a realistic and sympathetic perspective of Omega’s client's requirements.

4. Miranda Molenveld, Insurance Manager

Miranda was born and raised in the Netherlands, where she graduated at the business school Saxion Hogeschool Enschede majoring in Management, Economics & Law. Before Miranda came to Aruba in 2006, she worked as a juridical officer for the municipality of Enschede. In Aruba, she soon started working in the real estate branch, where she was in charge of the financial department and also responsible for the related insurances and claims handling. Miranda’s knowledge and experience is obvious in her accurateness in her work and her analytical capacity. As the newest member of the Omega group, Miranda’s experience is valuable in her current position as Insurance Manager.

5. Genovive Luidens, Executive Secretary

Genovive (Jenny) has worked in the Netherlands for Interpolis Insurance for over 4 years. Once back in Aruba she started to work for Acme Stores as an executive secretary where she was also responsible for the financial administration. From 1991 till 2001 Jenny worked as office manager at a well known jewelry store. In 2001, Jenny started her own studio in which she is still active part-time. Jenny joined Omega in 2010 in the position of Executive Secretary. Her daily tasks/responsibilities at Omega are very versatile and she is responsible for financial administration, secretarial work and she is also assisting in the insurance department.

 6. Nevita M.G. Mezas, Managing Director and Senior Consultant Curacao Branch

Nevita was born and raised in Curacao and moved at early age to the Netherlands to study. She attended the Hoger Economische Studies (HES) in Rotterdam, where she graduated in 2004 as Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) majored in Entrepreneurship. During and after her study Nevita worked for several leading financial institutions in the Netherlands in order to gain broad knowledge and experience of the complete financial sector. In 2009 she came back to her beloved Curacao where she continued her career as a Compliance Consultant for national and international companies in the financial sector. As per 2011 Nevita has a CAMS certification of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS-USA). With this broad experience on several layers within the financial sector Nevita made the decision in 2011 to go independent and joined in a partnership the Omega Financial & Management Group in Curacao. Assuming the responsibilities for the Curacao Branch, Nevita is in charge of our customers in Curacao and is a consultant specialized in Strategic planning, Compliance and Cash Management. All this knowledge and experience is finally shared as well as she is a facilitator on several quality improvement trainings for financial institutions and entrepreneurs courses both in Aruba and Curacao. Besides her work Nevita is an active board member of JCI IOBA Curaçao, a worldwide network organization that creates opportunities to empower young citizens to create positive change. She volunteers as business coach for the University of Netherlands Antilles students of International Business majoring in IBMS. Having Nevita on board put us one step closer in our ambition to be the leading consultants in the Caribbean.

7. Marisol S. Helder, Financial Advisor

Marisol is our financial advisor for insurances and mortgages for all individuals as well as small and medium companies. She was born and raised on Aruba and at early age she enrolled for an internship to become a nurse. For almost 13 years Marisol was a dedicated nurse, who worked in The Netherlands and then after in Aruba at the Dr.  Horacio Oduber Hospital. In 2011 Marisol changed career and added financial education as well to her curriculum. Therefore the transition to become a Life Insurance agent was almost a natural course of action. Her medical background has proven to be of much added value for our clients in guiding the process of life insurances. As one thing leads to another Marisol has extended her knowledge to mortgages and risk insurances as well. As Marisol prefers team work instead of working independently she has recently joined the Omega team. Marisol is responsible for advising and guiding our new clients in the process of their financial decisions. With Marisol’s assistance you can be assured of a good and comfortable handling of your financial affairs.
